Day 2

We slept sooo well and woke up to the most gorgeous blue water, blue cloudy skies and perfect weather.  Got ready and ate breakfast downstairs at the Venetian again.

Riley had a fun morning with my parents.  My dad said she had been incredibly sweet.  They ordered room service and had a brownie sent to the room for her for this afternoon.  Riley was very excited about all the breakfast food.  They had orange juice, cinnamon rolls, muffins, bananas.  Riley thought it was hilarious that there were two bananas, but that one was empty because Grandpa ate it in the middle of the night!  As they ate the cinnamon roll, Riley explained where cinnamon rolls came from and the history of them.  She said they were hundreds of years old.  And that the muffins came from the same place that the cinnamon rolls did.  When asked where she knew all of this, she pointed to her head and said that it was in her brain.

Breakfast at the Venetian was great.  I had toast with honey and some orange juice and some bacon.  Jeremy had some French toast.

We took Riley to the T-Rex Kid’s pool.  She went down the pool slide and went under the water.  Loved the slide.  Just not the going under the water part.  We went in with her – Gpa, Gma and me.  It was a little cold, but felt good overall.  She had a blast in it.  Then we left and went back to our rooms.  Riley loves the room and just wants to play in it all the time.

Jeremy and I are in the room at the moment.  I’m writing, he’s reading and we’re both looking out over the ocean.  It is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen.  The waves have been quite small up until a little bit ago.  The white caps are getting more noticeable and the ship is shifting more.  Still not much, but just more noticeable.  Love the sound of the wind and waves.

Tonight we have a special dinner with everyone from the wedding at a special restaurant on board and hoping to go to one of the shows tonight in the Stardust Theater.
